Headquartered in Irvine, CA, Shur-Lok manufactures fastening systems with superior locking devices for critical applications including engine module assembly, structural assembly, rotor blade attachment, and aircraft engine shaft and spindle applications. Operations at Irvine include CNC Machining, CNC Waterjet Cutting, Laser Marking, Heat Treating, NDT, and EDM.
Position Summary:
The Tool Cutter/Grinder constructs, repairs, and maintains machine shop tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and instruments. Responsibilities include manufacturing production and prototype rotary cutting tools, designing and repairing intricate tools to close tolerances (e.g., 0002), and performing routine machine maintenance. The role involves operating Lathe/Milling machines, Grinders, and other machine tools, working from detailed drawings or verbal instructions.

The pay range for this role is $21 to $31.50 per hour, based on factors. The role participates in a quarterly bonus plan, offers 80 hours of paid time off annually, 10 paid holidays, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
