Job summary

McCormick Stevenson, a subsidiary of Paligen Technologies, seeks an experienced Tool and Gage Designer in Clearwater, FL (Hybrid) to lead design efforts for tooling and production gages. You will develop complete drawing packages, ensure ASME Y14.5 compliance, and advise on technical documentation while coordinating with clients and SMEs.

Responsibilities include sketches, drawings, and ensuring design alignment with DoD processes, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tool and gage design.
• Strong understanding of ASME Y14.5 GD&T principles.
• Advanced understanding of ASME Y14.43 Gage and Fixture Dimension & Tolerancing.
• Advanced understanding of ASME Y14.100 and related drafting specs.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and DoD design processes.
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
• Experience with machine tools and CMM inspection.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review sketches/layouts.
• Provide complete design and drawing packages for tooling and gages.
• Create and check drawings for ASME Y14.5 compliance.
• Guide staff and customers in developing technical documentation to standards.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure design compliance with requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and advancements.
• Other duties as assigned.
