Silgan Dispensing in Missouri is seeking a maintenance helper to keep tool and die equipment clean and functioning. You will move machinery, assist in keeping the area organized, and perform basic maintenance tasks in a manufacturing setting.

Ideal candidates will have at least one year of related experience, strong reading and safety skills, and the ability to operate common shop tools. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and adherence to environmental and quality policies of the Grandview

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and effectively present information.

Responsabilités

• Remove and clean all mold parts (plates, pins, cavities).
• Clean all machinery (mills, lathes, grinders, saws, etc).
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Ability to operate lathe, solvent tank, Dremel tool, bead blaster, stationary grinder, stationary sander, acetylene torch and ceiling chain lifts.
• Must follow all work rules and policies.

SUMMARY:

Maintain, clean and move machinery in the tool and die department by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percentage, and draw/interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
