Trillium Staffing is seeking experienced Tool & Die professionals for direct-hire roles in Warren, MI on 1st and 2nd shifts. Pay is $28-$36/hour with overtime potential.

The position involves maintaining, repairing, and modifying production dies, tooling, and related components while supporting die tryouts and production launches. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on tool and die experience, automotive manufacturing background, and the ability to read engineering drawings and perform

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on tool & die repair, tooling, or metal die experience.
• Automotive manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering/part drawings.
• Strong shop math skills.
• Comfortable using precision measuring instruments.
• Familiarity with basic SPC concepts.
• Experience machining components to print.
• Ability to safely operate an overhead crane and forklift/Hi-Lo.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and modify production dies and tooling.
• Support die tryouts, first-piece runs, and production launch activities.
• Investigate tooling and process issues when parts do not meet specifications.
• Perform repairs according to established die maintenance procedures.
• Fabricate and replace tooling components such as punches and sections.
• Machine components to print using conventional tool room equipment.
• Read and work from engineering drawings and documented specifications.
• Assist with tooling changes to meet quality standards.
• Communicate tooling or production concerns to supervision.
• Work with Tool Room leadership and plant management.
• Follow safety, quality, and environmental procedures.

Trillium Staffing is now seeking Tool & Die Repair / Tool Room Leads on 1st & 2nd Shifts inWarren, MI for a direct-hire placement!

Pay rate is $28 - 36/hour | Exceptional experience may qualify for more.

1st Shift is Monday - Thursday: 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM andFriday: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM

2nd Shift isMonday - Thursday: 1:30 PM - 12:00 AM andFriday: 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM.Overtime is available.

The company can work with candidates who have specific OT availability, although flexibility may occasionally be needed when production demands require additional coverage.

A growing automotive manufacturing operation is adding experienced Tool & Die professionals to its team. We are looking for skilled Die Repair Technicians, Tool Makers, and Tool Room Leaders who can troubleshoot, repair, modify, and build tooling used in a production environment.

Experience with metal stamping, forming, or extrusion processes is highly valued.This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys working with tooling, solving production issues, and building precision components from engineering drawings.

What You'll Do

• Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and modify production dies and tooling.
• Support die tryouts, first-piece runs, and production launch activities.
• Investigate tooling and process issues when parts do not meet specifications.
• Perform repairs according to established die maintenance procedures.
• Fabricate and replace tooling components such as punches, buttons, sections, and related die components.
• Machine components to print using conventional tool room equipment.
• Read and work from engineering drawings and documented specifications.
• Assist with tooling changes and modifications required to meet quality standards.
• Communicate tooling or production concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Work collaboratively with Tool Room leadership, production supervision, and plant management.
• Follow established safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
• Provide assistance to production or other plant functions when needed.

What We're Looking For

• Ability to safely operate an overhead crane and industrial forklift/Hi-Lo.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to work safely and follow established plant procedures.
• Personal tool set required.

Nice-to-Have Experience

• Journeyman Tool & Die credentials.
• Experience with metal stamping, forming, or extrusion.
• Experience leading or mentoring other Tool Room employees.
• Familiarity with automotive quality systems and standards such as IATF/TS-related quality systems and ISO 14001.
