Job summary

Magna International seeks a Tool and Die Technician for 2nd or 3rd shift at our Bowling Green, KY facility. You will maintain tooling, support safe operations, and keep equipment ready for production runs.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, plus 2+ years in tool and die; journeyman certification is a plus; candidates must bring their own tools and have basic drafting knowledge.

  • Journeyman Certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and healthful workplace and keep tooling maintained to produce quality products.
  • Assist with continuous improvement of tooling and housekeeping; help make informed decisions.
  • Ensure tooling is ready for production runs.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Join our team as a Tool and Die Tech on 2nd or 3rd shift!
  • We are seeking dedicated individuals to maintain a safe and healthful workplace and keeping tooling maintained to produce quality products.
  • Also responsible for assisting with continuous improvement of tooling, housekeeping, helping to make informed decisions, and having tooling ready for production runs.
What we are looking for:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Post-secondary education preferred in tool and die, or related minimum of two years’ experience in tool and die capacity
  • Journeyman Certification is a plus
Preferred qualifications:
  • General knowledge of troubleshooting, materials and methods, machines and tools, and practical application of tooling
  • Computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Minimum of two years on-the-job training with heavy industrial manufacturing experience in skilled trade capacity
  • Must be able to provide own tools
  • Must have basic knowledge of drafting (blueprint reading, dimension drawings, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge in automation

Competitive Pay: Up to $41.38 per hour based on skills and experience.

Shift Premiums: Additional $1.00 for 2nd shift and $0.75 for 3rd shift.

Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 paid in three increments at 90 days, 180 days, and 365 days.
