Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates Degree, trade or technical school, journey person certificate.
• 2 years training required; on-the-job training to meet minimum experience.
• Must have Tool & Die Repair Journeyman Papers.

Responsibilities

• Repair, rebuild, and maintain casting and trim dies.
• Transport, clean, disassemble, repair, and reassemble dies using cranes and equipment.
• Build and replace segments, cores, and details from blueprints.
• Draw polish or grind die cavity surfaces.
• Make repairs and adjust cores and punches while mounted on machines.
• Perform welding duties in the foundry and the Die Repair Department.
• Troubleshoot production tooling problems and perform repairs.
• Keep work area and equipment neat and orderly.
• Perform other duties for safe and efficient operation.
