Job summary

Advance Storage Products in Georgia is seeking a Tool and Die Manager to oversee tool and die operations, lead toolmakers, machinists, and jig shop personnel, and ensure design, fabrication, maintenance, and repair of tooling used in manufacturing.

You will review engineering drawings (AutoCAD preferred), manage preventive maintenance, drive safety and quality, mentor staff, and lead continuous improvement initiatives while coordinating with engineering, production, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in tool and die making, machining, or precision manufacturing.
• 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Technical certification in Tool & Die, Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

Job Description

The Tool and Die Manager will oversee tool and die operations, ensuring the design, fabrication, maintenance, and repair of tooling used in manufacturing processes. This role requires strong leadership, deep technical expertise, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in tooling performance, safety, and reliability. Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software is strongly preferred to support design review and development.

ROLE:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:

Associate degree or technical certification in Tool & Die, Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:

• 5 years of experience in tool and die making, machining, or precision manufacturing.
• 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.

REQUIRED OUTSIDE TRAINING/CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATIONS FOR THIS POSITION:

Technical certification in Tool & Die, Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred in lieu of degree.

CRITICAL SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:

• Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, CNC equipment, and tooling principles.
• Excellent problem solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of safety standards, quality systems, and lean manufacturing.

PREFERRED SKILLS FOR THIS POSITION:

• Experience with GD&T and blueprint reading.
• Familiarity with CAM software and CNC programming.
• Background in high-volume manufacturing.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
