Ford Motor Company is seeking skilled Tool and Die Makers for die maintenance and setup. The role requires completing an apprenticeship or possessing 8+ years of related experience, with extensive work on large body dies and familiarity with CNC tooling.

Responsibilities include rebuilding die sections, operating lathes, mills and grinders, and reading process sheets to ensure precise dimensions. The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to schedules.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a bona fide apprenticeship, or have 8 years of previous experience, or a combination of work experience and training equivalent to an apprenticeship.
• Extensive die maintenance and set up of large body dies; read process sheets and work orders to ensure tolerances.
• Past experience with launching and try-out of large body dies is required.

Responsibilities

• Extensive die maintenance including rebuilding die sections, retiming pads and forms; read PM instructions and work orders.
• Set up and operate conventional or CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders) to cut and shape parts to prescribed dimensions and finishes.
• Identify root causes of die downtime and implement resolutions to minimize downtime.
• Travel or work with large body dies in production environments and support launch/try-out activities.
