Qualifications

Description

2nd Shift - Tool and Die Maker

  • Build tools and dies from part prints, sketches, reference parts, or instructions.
  • Operate tool room machinery safely during the build process.
  • Perform repairs on progressive dies, manually operated dies, and tooling.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot dies on the bench and make necessary corrections.
  • Work from T.C.O. program reports and last piece references to ensure quality parts.
  • Support die tryouts and prepare for production after steel or tool installations.
  • Assist press room operations by servicing die sets, troubleshooting, and making corrections using SPC data for die adjustments.
  • Interface with internal and external customers, participate in problem-solving teams, and handle concerns.
  • Support SPECS, TQM, MOS, and Safety programs, and maintain good housekeeping standards.
  • Initiate actions to prevent nonconformities related to product, process, and quality systems.
  • Assist Tool & Die Apprentices in daily operations.
  • Perform other essential functions as assigned.
