Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a Tool & Die Maker / Moldmaker to join our team in Whitehall Township, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, maintaining, and repairing wax injection molds, along with fabricating manufacturing fixtures and inspection gauges. The position requires experience with aluminum and steel, and you must be able to work all shifts. Starting pay is $33.80/hour, progressing to $39.05/hour. Opportunities for advancement are available based on performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight years of documented Tool & Die Maker / Moldmaker experience.
• Completion of a Bonafide apprenticeship program.
• Journeyman Tool & Die Maker or Mold Maker certification.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Responsibilities
The Tool & Die Maker / Moldmaker is responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of wax injection molds, as well as the fabrication of manufacturing fixtures and inspection gauges. This role requires experience working with both aluminum and steel, along with proficiency in general tool room equipment, including CNC mills.

Applicants for this position must be able to work all shifts including 2nd and 3rd shift.

Pay Range
Starting pay is $33.80/hour, with the opportunity to progress to a top rate of $39.05/hour.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Possess a minimum of ONE of the following:
  • Possess a minimum of eight (8) years of documented Tool & Die Maker / Moldmaker experience.
  • Have served a Bonafide apprenticeship program and possess a certificate which substantiates completion.
  • Journeyman Tool & Die Maker.
  • Journeyman Mold Maker.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in moldmaking, particularly with plastic injection or wax injection molds
