Job summary

A manufacturing company based in the United States is seeking a talented individual to build and assemble Class A transfer dies. This role requires 4-5 years of experience in metal stamping dies and strong skills in blueprint reading. The position offers competitive benefits including medical, dental, and 401k matching. Qualifications

• Certification or apprenticeship in Tool & Die is preferred.
• Experience of 4-5 years in metal stamping die construction is essential.
• Strong understanding of Class A panels construction is needed.

Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, and fit Class A transfer dies for new tooling.
• Ensure tooling meets dimensional and functional requirements.
• Work with various teams to meet project deadlines.

Skills

Tool & Die certification or completed apprenticeship

4–5 years of experience building and troubleshooting metal stamping dies

Strong understanding of die construction, fit, finish, and surface quality

Proficiency in blueprint reading

Excellent mechanical problem-solving skills

Attention to detail

Comfortable in a collaborative environment

Job description

What You’ll Do:

• Build, assemble, and fit Class A transfer dies for new tooling programs.
• Participate in die Tryout to ensure tooling meets dimensional and functional requirements.
• Implement Engineering changes and ensure accurate updates to dies throughout the process.
• Read and interpret blueprints, CAD data, and job orders to plan builds and modifications.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and refine dies for optimal performance.
• Work closely with Engineering, Production, and Program Management to meet deadlines and quality standards.

What You Bring:

• Tool & Die certification or completed apprenticeship preferred.
• 4–5 years of experience building and troubleshooting metal stamping dies.
• Strong understanding of die construction, fit, finish, and surface quality—especially for Class A panels.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and precision measurement.
• Excellent mechanical problem‑solving and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, deadline‑driven environment.

Shift:

Shifts will be assigned based on the seniority list in accordance with the collective bargaining unit agreement. Current opportunities will likely be on Night Shift.
