Job summary

Weiss-Aug, a leader in precision manufacturing, seeks a skilled Tool & Die Maker at our East Hanover, NJ facility. You will construct, repair, and alter dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges to tight tolerances, using a variety of machining resources while maintaining QMS standards.

You will implement die fabrication strategies, work with engineers, and ensure quality and efficiency. Candidates should have a four-year apprenticeship and 4+ years of related experience, with strong blueprint reading

Qualifications

• Completion of a three- or four-year apprenticeship program.
• Minimum of four years related experience.
• Ability to use shop mathematics and geometric formulas.
• Work from drawings and operate precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing complex high-speed progressive dies.
• Build dies from conceptional drawings or layouts.
• Schedule and supervise junior tool makers on projects.
• Diagnose and correct problems in tools and dies.
• Maintain tolerance and ensure stamped parts meet drawings and specs.
