Job summary

AUTOKINITON invites applicants to join their Tool and Die Maker Apprentice program at the Greenville, South Carolina facility. The four-year track combines 144 hours of college-level courses with 8,000 hours of hands-on training, culminating in certification by AUTOKINITON and the U.S.

Department of Labor, with classroom time paid as part of the program. Apprentices rotate shifts, tuition and books are paid for by the company, and selection is via the Apprentice Committee from among AUTOKINITON

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude testing performed.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to repair and make new components.
• Fit and assemble parts to make and repair die.
• Analyze specifications.
• Use precision measuring and gauging tools to perform required inspection.
• Tear down, repair and reassemble tooling in the press and on the bench.
• Gain knowledge and experience of a skilled trades associate in our tool room.
