Job summary

Digital Tool & Die, Inc. in Grandville, MI is seeking a hands-on machinist/dies assembler to support tool and die manufacturing. You will try-out and tune sheet metal stamping dies, assist in bench assembly, and safely operate presses and related equipment.

The role emphasizes quality and on-time delivery, teamwork with engineering and quality, and mentoring apprentices. The position offers a 4-day work week, night shift Mon-Thu 4:15 PM–3:45 AM with a $3/hr premium, and benefits including 401K

Responsibilities

• Try-out and tune in sheet metal stamping dies.
• Assist in the assembly of dies on the bench.
• Safely operate presses, press feeders, forklifts, cranes, grinders and other machine tools.
• Responsible for quality and on-time delivery of new tool build projects.
• Communicate with engineering and quality teams when troubleshooting.
• Help train and mentor apprentices on how dies are built and function.
