Tool & Die Maker 3

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Base Pay Range: $38-$43 (DOE)

Join our talented Tool Room team, responsible for machining custom tooling, fixtures, and gauges with direct design input. We seek a skilled Tool & Die Maker 3 to enhance our team, focusing on high-quality work and projects like Gage Making, Dimple Dies, and Automated Fixturing. Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop tools supporting manufacturing and assembly, utilizing specialized skills to analyze specifications, operate machine tools, and fabricate, maintain, and repair dies and gauges.
  • Work from blueprints, sketches, and verbal descriptions to build, modify, and repair tools and dies, determining necessary tools and measurements.
  • Review drawings, plan layouts, and ensure quality and conformance of machined parts.
  • Build, test, and maintain gauges; coordinate calibration and maintain records.
  • Develop performance specifications and collaborate with engineers for design improvements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve tool and die issues, perform maintenance, and ensure quality standards.
  • Participate in R&D and project teams, lead projects, and mentor new employees.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, trade school training, and 10+ years of related experience in tool and die making.
  • Expertise in tool and die practices, design, and construction.
  • Specialized skills in gauge making, millwright, or related areas.
  • Strong understanding of shop mathematics, GD&T, and metal properties.
  • Ability to interpret technical blueprints and operate shop machinery with high precision.
  • Knowledge of CNC programming and software.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
Work Environment:

Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and chemicals. Must use PPE, stand or sit for long periods, and lift up to 50 pounds with assistance. Capable of operating tools and machinery.
