Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Tool & Die Maker - 2nd Shift.

The hourly rate for this position is $29.15 per hour.

What You’ll Do
Job Summary

Specialize in the construction, alteration, and repair of complex tools, equipment, dies, fixtures, gauges, etc., requiring a high degree of skill and knowledge of machining and tool building practices.

Job Responsibilities
  • Sets up and operates conventional and special-purpose machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts and fits and assembles machined parts into complete units, applying knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, machine-ability of materials and layout techniques.
  • Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
  • Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or workpieces as guides for subsequent machining.
  • Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.
  • Ensures compliance with all safety and housekeeping practices & company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Education level required
  • Education and experience equivalent to completion of an accredited apprenticeship program; or high school diploma or GED plus a two-year related technical college education.
Years and Area of Experience Required
  • 1 year manufacturing experience at Nacogdoches Plant.
Technical Knowledge
  • Must have knowledge of shop mathematics, working properties of various metals and steels, and be capable of shaping parts to precise dimensions.
Skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with little to no supervision.
  • Individual contributor, drive, and self-motivation.
  • Strong skills in priority setting, decision quality, problem solving, learning on the fly, customer focus, ethics and values, integrity and trust, drive for results, and technical learning.
