Position: Full-time Tool and Die Maker

Salary: $30.75 per hour

Responsibilities:

1. Set up, operate, adjust, and repair shop machine tools, perform fitting, timing, assembling, and calibrating operations; work to tolerances of .0001 inch and finish as required.
2. Work from drawings, sketches, written specifications, and verbal instructions.
3. Handle various materials including aluminum, brass, bronze, iron, steel, plastics, and alloys.
4. Plan, lay out, and construct new tools, dies, fixtures, and gauges.
5. Disassemble broken or worn tools, dies, and gauges; determine parts to replace; use discarded parts as patterns; reshape and refinish work tools, fixtures, and dies.
6. Follow procedures for hazardous waste handling and cleanup.

Skills Required:

• Ability to interpret drawings, sketches, specifications, and instructions.
• Proficiency with machine tools, gauges, micrometers, and precision measuring devices.
• Adherence to hazardous waste segregation and training protocols.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent program.
• 3-4 years of journey-level work experience.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
