A leader in precision manufacturing is seeking a Tool & Die Maker to construct and repair tools, maintains specific tolerances, and develop effective machining strategies. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and completion of an approved apprenticeship program. Responsibilities

• Constructs and repairs various tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.

• Develops fabrication strategies using efficient machining methodology.
• Meets all quality and efficiency expectations.
• Demonstrated ability for using shop mathematics, handbook of geometric and trigonometric formulas.
• Ability to work from drawings and sketches.
• Ability to use all types of precision measuring instruments.
• Thorough knowledge of machine shop practices, principles of mechanics, machine shop operations, and the working generalities of material

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Constructs, alters, and repairs a wide variety of tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges to very close tolerance.
• Develops strategies for fabricating die components using the most efficient machining methodology.
• Maintains specified tolerance to warrant proper qualification of the stamped product.
• Meets all quality and efficiency expectations.
• Demonstrated ability for using shop mathematics, handbook of geometric and trigonometric formulas.
• Ability to work from drawings and sketches.
• Ability to use all types of precision measuring instruments.
• Thorough knowledge of machine shop practices, principles of mechanics, machine shop operations, and the working generalities of material

Requirements

• HS diploma required.
• Completion an approved Tool and Die Maker state apprenticeship program.
