Masterack is seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker to join our manufacturing team. You will build, repair, and maintain tooling, dies, fixtures, and gauges to keep production running safely and efficiently.

You will read blueprints, operate mills, lathes, grinders, and drill presses, and measure parts with precision tools. A minimum of 3 years in Tool & Die or related roles is required; strong troubleshooting and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Tool & Die, Machinist, or Tool Room experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
• Experience operating manual machine shop equipment.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot tooling issues and repair to reduce downtime.
• Read blueprints and engineering drawings.

Position Overview

Masterack is looking for a skilled Tool & Die Maker to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you'll build, repair, and maintain tooling, dies, fixtures, and other equipment that keeps production running safely and efficiently. If you enjoy solving mechanical problems, working with precision tools, and supporting manufacturing operations, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

• Build, repair, and maintain tooling, dies, fixtures, jigs, and gauges.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and make repairs to reduce downtime.
• Read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Operate machine shop equipment such as mills, lathes, grinders, and drill presses.
• Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Perform routine maintenance on tooling and equipment.
• Help improve tooling and manufacturing processes.
• Complete maintenance and production paperwork.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Keep your work area clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of Tool & Die, Machinist, or Tool Room experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
• Experience operating manual machine shop equipment.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Bonus Skills (Not Required)

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

• CNC machining
• Welding or fabrication
• Preventive maintenance
• Lean Manufacturing or 5S

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
• Lift up to 35 pounds regularly.
• Work overtime when needed.
