Job summary

DBG Canada in Conway, Arkansas is seeking a tooling technician to support production and drive continuous tooling improvements. You will construct and repair tooling to ensure smooth operation and help maintain tooling documents.

The role requires reading blueprints and GD&T, setting up dies in presses, and mentoring trainees as needed. This is an on-site position with opportunities to grow with a company focused on skilled trades and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Construct and repair tooling to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
• Work with metalworking dies, cutting tools, jigs and fixtures, gauges and machinists’ hand tools.
• Instruct & Mentor trainees within the department on an as needed basis.
• Read blueprints and interpret GD&T.
• Support production by optimizing tooling performance.
• Assist Production and Maintenance in troubleshooting and resolving tooling issues.
• Ability to set up die in press for tryout, repair details and set clearances.
• Recognize and makes changes when tooling improvements are needed, complete repairs and assembly tools to ready to run status.
• Ability to make die alterations, recommend tooling improvements and run tool projects.
• Maintain tooling documentation.
