Base pay range

$32.50/hr - $38.50/hr

Perform duties to plan, construct, modify and repair a wide variety of tools, dies, jigs and fixtures to very close tolerance including development work.

Work from prints, samples, sketches and instructions to disassemble, check die dimensions, diagnose problem, determine extent of repair necessary, sequence repair operations, plan, make up jigs, fixtures, repair parts, install, test and time compound and progressive dies, make tool tryouts and perform incidental machine operations as necessary.

• Plan and construct a wide variety of tools, dies, fixtures and gauges to very close tolerances, or construct more complex units where design is available.
• Operate tool room machinery in a safe manner during the build process.
• Troubleshoot dies in the press and make necessary changes and adjustments.
• Set-up and operate conventional machines.
• Perform all other duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have at least 6 years of Tool & Die experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and perform die troubleshooting and repair
• Good machinist skills or machine maintenance skills
