Job summary

Schaeffler Transmission Systems, LLC invites applicants for a hands-on trades training program in Wooster, OH. Trainees will rotate through departments to complete 8000 hours of on-the-job training and classroom instruction tailored to the trade.

Respondents will work with Journeypersons to maintain stamping tooling and to program, set up, and run CNC equipment in a tool room setting. Ideal candidates are highly motivated, with mechanical aptitude, blueprint reading skills, and a strong work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Mechanical aptitude and knowledge essential.
• Hands-on learner with good blueprint Reading ability.
• Experience or exposure to CNC machining preferred.
• Strong accuracy in measurement and metal cutting practices.
• Solid math skills; problem solving aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Rotate in departments related to the trade to complete 8000 on-the-job training hours and related classroom instruction.
• Work with a Journeyperson to maintain production stamping tooling and develop dies.
• Collaborate with a Journeyperson in programming, set-up and running CNC equipment in a tool room environment.
• Demonstrate motivation to learn and apply acquired skills.
