Responsibilities

  • Work safely in a tool & die environment following industrial safety best practices.
  • Operate CNC and manual lathe, mill, grinder, saw, drill press, and other tool shop equipment.
  • Generate 3D CAD models and blueprints for various projects.
  • Perform disassembly, final assembly, and outbound tooling inspections.
  • Inspect and measure tooling and components to match print specifications.
  • Plan and track time for specific work orders.
  • Be flexible to work both 1st and 2nd shifts and train with Leads and Tool & Die Makers.

Position Overview

As a Tool & Die Apprentice located at our Brookfield, WI Tool & Die Plant, you will join a dynamic team with a winning culture. This position offers a unique opportunity to work independently across various aspects of Tool & Die Manufacturing which support multiple foundry operations including high pressure diecast, lost foam, and investment casting plants.

Essential Functions
  • Work safely and efficiently in a tool & die shop environment especially when it comes to industrial safety best practices
  • Operate CNC and manual lathes, mills, grinders, saws, drill presses, and other tool shop equipment
  • Generate 3D CAD models and blueprints for various projects
  • Perform disassembly, final assembly, and outbound tooling inspections
  • Inspect and precision measure in-process tooling and components to meet print specifications
  • Accurately plan and track time for specific work orders
  • Must be flexible to work both 1st and 2nd shifts
  • Must be a team player willing to train with all Leads and Tool and Die Makers on the shop floor
  • Basic mechanical and mathematical aptitude, including the ability to disassemble tooling preferred

Pay & Benefits

The anticipated pay range for this position is $29.91 hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
