Job summary

Steico Industries, Inc. in Oceanside, CA is seeking a Tool Designer to design assembly and shop tooling, create 2D CAD drawings, and support shop floor inquiries. The role requires 5 years of tool design experience in a manufacturing setting and fluency in English.

You will work Monday–Friday during the AM shift (7:00 AM–3:30 PM) with pay ranging from $22 to $25 per hour, depending on experience. A strong background in 2D/3D CAD and rapid prototyping is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering or equivalent on-the-job training.
• 5 years tool design experience in a manufacturing environment with 2D/3D modeling.
• Fluent English; strong communication across levels.
• CAD software experience; SolidWorks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design assembly and shop tooling.
• Create 2D CAD drawings and layouts.
• Support shop floor technical inquiries (drawing and spec interpretations).
• Contribute to design improvements.
• Contribute to cost reduction efforts.
• Support 5S + Safety requirements for the department.
• Ensure maintenance on all equipment is completed as required.
• Other reasonable duties as business and operational needs dictate.
• Using required PPE for the department.
