Job summary

Milwaukee Valve Company, LLC. is seeking an engineer to study specifications, blueprints, and tooling data to resolve design problems related to materials, tolerances, and manufacturing procedures. The role involves applying algebraic and geometric formulas to tool configuration, selecting bushings and bits, and drawing layout and detail sketches. Other duties may be assigned.

Collaborate with engineering and shop personnel to ensure design integrity and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of specifications, blueprints, tooling data to resolve design problems.
• Ability to apply algebraic and geometric formulas for tool configuration.
• Experience selecting bushings and tool bits for tool design.
• Ability to draw preliminary sketches and layouts.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering and shop personnel to resolve design issues.
• Confer with teams to ensure tolerances, material specs, and manufacturing procedures meet requirements.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Job description

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Studies specifications, engineering blueprints, tool orders, and shop data and confers with engineering and shop personnel to resolve design problems related to material characteristics, dimensional tolerances, service requirements, and manufacturing procedures.


• Applies algebraic and geometric formulas and standard tool engineering data to develop tool configuration.


• Selects standard items such as bushings and tool bits to incorporate into tool design.


• Draws preliminary sketches and prepares layout and detail drawings.


• Other duties may be assigned.
