Cypress HCM is seeking a Tool Designer to design and develop tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in manufacturing. You’ll turn engineering and manufacturing requirements into accurate drawings that can be used to build production tooling, working directly with the manufacturing floor.
The role involves collaborating with operators to troubleshoot tooling and setup issues, observe tryouts, and modify designs before release. CAD skills and geometry are essential.
This position is responsible for designing and developing the tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in manufacturing. Working under the direction of the Principal Tool Designer, you’ll turn engineering and manufacturing requirements into accurate drawings and designs that can be used to build production tooling.
A major part of the job is working directly with the manufacturing floor. You’ll collaborate with machine operators and setup personnel to troubleshoot tooling and production issues, observe new tooling during setup and tryout, and determine whether designs need to be modified before being released for production.
