Proficiency in Catia V5 and Smarteam PLM is a plus, with collaboration across engineering, sales, and vendors. The ideal candidate has a background in mechanical/tooling design, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in an engineering field, or an associate degree with experience.
• Proficient in 3D CAD and capable of generating manufacturing prints.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Ability to analyze and resolve design issues and challenges.
• Experience in tooling design or mechanical design is preferred.

Tool Designer job typically involves designing and creating fixtures and tooling to meet quality, cost, and schedule objectives. This may include designing shelters and mechanical modifications, reviewing customer requirements, and supporting the engineering design team. The designer also works with various departments to resolve issues and contribute to product improvement. Need Catia V5 proficiency and Smarteam PLM a plus. Tooling for composite parts; lamination molds, drill jigs, trim fixtures, CNC machining fixtures, and assembly Design and Development: Develop, design, and/or create fixtures, tooling, and related equipment. Review and Analysis: Review customer requirements, specifications, and interface drawings to ensure contract compliance. CAD Modeling: Utilize 3D CAD software to create and maintain models and associated 2D drawings.
