Job summary

RiseMe in Springfield, MA is seeking a Tool Design Engineer to design fixtures, gauges and cutting tools from TDRs, using CAD systems to create solid model assemblies and drawings. You will dimension and tolerance fixtures, gauges and cutters to print, and evaluate manufacturing processes for optimization.

The role requires experience with CAD (SolidWorks), proficiency in English, and collaboration with NPD teams to improve tool designs for quality and cost.

Qualifications

• Associates in Engineering Degree or equivalent.
• SolidWorks experience required.
• CAD experience with a major system.
• Good command of English language, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Design original concept of complex fixtures, gauges and cutters.
• Modify existing fixtures, gauges and cutters.
• Design all types of gauging used within the industry.
• Design and/or modify fixtures for high volume production.
• Check tool designs for accuracy and function.
• Create hydraulic and/or pneumatic schematics as required.
• Use SAP to create new or modify BOM and routings.
• Interact with NPD Process Engineers to optimize tool designs.
