Job summary

Indiana Packers Corporation (IPC) is seeking a Tool Crib Attendant for 2nd and 3rd shifts at the Delphi, Indiana plant. The role involves managing tool inventory, recording tool movements, and supplying tools across the facility.

Responsibilities include tool check-in/check-out, data entry into the maintenance system, and communicating supply issues to supervisors. Requires basic math, strong computer skills, and potential forklift certification. Overtime and weekend work may occur.

Qualifications

• Requires tool crib experience and strong data-entry skills.
• Proficient in inventory control and handling tools.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives, stores and issues hand tools, machine tools, materials, and equipment in and out of the tool crib.
• Maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned, manually or using computer
• Locates lost or misplaced tools and equipment
• Maintains inventory of tools and equipment
• Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory
• Delivers tools or equipment to workers within the facility, manually or using hand truck
• Marks and identifies tools and equipment, using identification tag, stamp, or electric marking tool
• Sends parts for repair and follows up on status
• Communicates potential supply problems to maintenance supervisor and purchasing
• Inputs data for maintenance/repair activities (plans/results) into computerized maintenance management system.
• Must work in full compliance with the approved safety regulations
• All employees are expected to adhere to their schedule working hours and attend work consistently to ensure smooth operations and effective teamwork.
