Job summary

Vital Engineered Components Company is seeking a detail oriented Tool Crib Attendant to join the Production Department. This full-time position handles receiving, storing, and issuing cutting tools, machine tools, materials, and equipment in the shop.

Responsibilities include maintaining a neat work area, issuing tooling, receiving and stocking items, inspecting tools, and labeling equipment. Strong communication, teamwork, and inventory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication skills and be able to convey information to department managers.
• Must be detail oriented, organized, and able to follow directions.
• Must work well in a team and independently when required.
• Must be flexible, able to multi-task, and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to reason and solve problems.
• Knowledge of supply chain activities and inventory control.
• Good time management to meet kit and assembly schedules.
• Proficient with computers and basic data entry.
• Willingness to learn new database systems.
• At least 1 year of inventory experience.

Job Description: A detail oriented and organized individual to join our company as a Tool Crib Attendant in our Production Department. This is a full-time position. Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for receiving storing, and issuing cutting tools, machine tools, materials, and equipment in the shop.

• Maintain assigned work area in a neat and orderly condition.
• Issues tools and equipment to workers and maintains records of tooling.
• Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory.
• Inspects, measures and sets tools.
• Marks and identifies tools and equipment, using identifications tag, stamp, or marking tool.

Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to walk up and down stairs
• Basic knowledge of general machining practices, the ability to correctly use required gages and other required inspection equipment, blue print reading, and other mechanical applications as required (training may be provided if necessary).
