Job summary

Stephen Gould is seeking a Tool Control Specialist for our Duluth, GA production facility. You will inventory hand tools, scan, etch, and assemble components, while reporting issues to supervision. The role is term-to-perm with daytime hours, and requires detail orientation and strong communication.

Responsibilities include tool ingression into inventory systems, quality checks, and maintaining a safe, orderly workspace. Microsoft Excel familiarity is advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years' work experience in tool control, production, manufacturing, or construction equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills and high mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to work in a team environment.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced production setting.
• Some knowledge of or ability to learn Microsoft Excel.
• Laser marking experience helpful.
• Prefer some familiarity with inventory management systems.

• Assemble produced elements into a final product.
• Conduct quality control reviews to ensure guidelines are met.
• Maintain a clean and presentable work area.

• Report inconsistencies or quality issues to the Tool Control Supervisor.

General Job Description

Our company is currently seeking a Tool Control Specialist to carry out various tasks in our production facility. The ideal candidate will have hand tool experience, excellent communication skills, and high attention to detail. The successful applicant will be responsible for inventorying hand tools, scanning tools, laser etching tools, tool kit assembly, and reporting any inconsistencies or quality issues directly to the Tool Control Supervisor. This position is term-to-perm.

Major Duties And Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming tools, catalog, and enter into inventory management system.
• Operate etching and laser scanning equipment with proper training.
• Assemble individually produced elements into a final product.
• Conduct quality control review of produced goods assuring they meet company provided guidelines.
• Possess basic hand tool knowledge.
• Possess problem solving / troubleshooting skills.
• Measure and record data using a tape measure and calipers.
• Pack product for shipping to clients.
• Maintain a clean and presentable work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED required.

Experience and Required Skills

• 1+ years' work experience in tool control, production, manufacturing, or construction equivalent.
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work in a team-oriented work environment.
• Excellent communication skills and high degree of mechanical aptitude.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced production environment.
• Some knowledge of or ability to learn Microsoft Excel.
• Laser Marking expereince
• Prefer a degree of computer literacy in order to be trained in inventory management system.

KEY COMPETENCIES

Physical Requirements

• Capable of lifting up to 45 pounds unassisted.
• Able to work on feet for extended periods of time.
• Able to operate in a loud production environment.

Hours are Monday through Friday from 7am to 3:30 pm
