Job summary

Superior Energy Services Colombia is seeking a Tool Assembler II for the 2nd Shift at our Houston location. In this hands-on position, you will be responsible for teardown, maintenance, and assembly of critical service tools, ensuring all products meet safety, quality, and productivity standards.

The ideal candidate must have a High School Diploma and at least 6 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, particularly in Tool Assembly. You will work in a dynamic environment where maintaining cleanliness and organization is vital to operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Compliance with all safety and security policies.
• Assembly and disassembly of equipment per Standard Operating Procedures.

• Assist with loading and unloading of tool baskets.
• Perform pressure testing on tools as needed.

Join Our Growing Team at Superior Completion Services! Superior Completion Services is excited to announce that we are seeking 4 - Tool Assembler II to work the 2nd Shift for our Houston, TX. Aldine Westfield Office.

In this hands-on role, the 2nd Shift - Tool Assembler II will take charge of teardown, maintenance, and assembly of critical service tools while keeping a clean, organized workspace that supports fast, high-quality operations. You’ll also assemble saleable equipment and flow-control valves, ensuring every product meets our high standards for Safety, Quality, and Productivity. This is a chance to make a direct impact on tool performance, reliability, and customer success in a dynamic, high-energy environment on the 2nd shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Comply with all company Safety and Security policies, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment, Job Safety Analysis, and Take 5 Safety initiatives.
• Report injuries, accidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions to a Manager or Supervisor immediately.
• Assembly and Disassembly of equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Follow all Quality Procedures for the Preservation, Packaging, and Storage of Products.
• Adhere to on-call/off-call work schedule, being available on short notice around the clock and on-call week.
• Carry out daily activities with the Supervisor and/or Manager to ensure the quality and quantity of work meet performance expectations as set by Management.
• Participate in training and cross-training within other areas to utilize labor efficiently and to prevent downtime or disruption to operations.
• Ensure that work areas are maintained in a neat and orderly manner at all times.
• Ensure that service tool components are cleaned, oil-dipped, soft-assembled, and properly staged.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of tool baskets.
• Perform pressure testing on various tools per SOPs.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum of 6+ years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry with Tool Assembly experience.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in the operation of forklift, HP test pump, and hydraulic press
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
• Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote safe operations
• Basic math skills
• Computer skills needed for data entry and reporting
• Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
• Understanding written statements in work-related documents
• Identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and recommend solutions
• Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
