Job summary

Grote Industries, Inc. seeks a Tooling/Tool Room Technician to fabricate fixtures, troubleshoot tooling and support installation of equipment. You will build fixtures, repair jigs, and coordinate heat treating with external sources.

Responsibilities include assisting engineers and vendors, maintaining tool-room records, and ensuring quality and safety standards across the operation.

• Perform timely repair, installation and changeovers of tooling.

Job description

Capable of machining, constructing, and/or fabricating fixtures, details, prototypes, or work stations with or without detailed prints. Must have the ability to troubleshoot mechanical or functional issues with fixtures or work stations, repair, or effectively communicate to maintenance the issue in order to resolve the problem. Must be able to operate or use all necessary equipment or tools: fork lift, stand-up lift, chain hoist, machine tools, and measurement devices.

• Will assist Grote engineers or outside vendors in the installation of new or revised processes, equipment or work stations
