Qualifications

• 5 years' experience as a Journeyman Tool/Die Maker/Repairer.
• Experience with machining equipment, welding, hand working trim and form steels.

Responsibilities

• Construct and repair tools, dies, jigs, gauges, or molds of complex nature, including intricate fixtures and molds with difficult internal surfaces.
• Ensure safety in the die repair area.
• Adjust, improve, and repair dies and tooling for proper function.
• Analyze die or mold breakdowns and determine repairs needed.
• Perform all required bench and machine operations.
• Conduct preventive maintenance of dies and tooling.
• Support casting production line setup and troubleshoot related issues during production runs.
• Record work completed and communicate open issues.
• Maintain workplace organization and housekeeping.

Qualifications/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years' experience as a Journeyman Tool / Die Maker / Repairer.
• Experience with machining equipment such as lathe, mill, and hand tools.
• Hand working of trim and form steels.
• Welding experience, including TIG welding of hardened tool steels.

Preferred Additional Qualifications/Experience

• Completion of an apprenticeship program.
• Knowledge of liner transfer systems and end-of-arm tooling.
• Mathematics skills.
• Computer skills.
