Job summary

Burnside-Acquisition-LLC is seeking an experienced toolmaker to plan, design, and construct highly intricate tools, dies, and gauges to stringent tolerances. The role includes executing complex fitting, timing, and measurement tasks in a hands-on shop environment, and supervising die construction and related maintenance as needed.

Monday to Friday shift, with opportunities to contribute to precision manufacturing projects.

Qualifications

  • One-year certification from trade school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years tool room experience.
  • Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

  • Constructs tools where a design is or isn't available.
  • Select allowances and devises mechanism detail.
  • Highly skilled fitting, adjusting, and timing.
  • Performs any tool room machine operation.
  • Works from complicated drawing and sketches.
  • Uses advanced shop mathematics and all types of precision measuring instruments.
  • Do skilled fitting, timing, and adjusting.
  • Supervises die construction and/or completes tool making operations, together with related maintenance.

Pay Range:

$23 - $31/hr

Shift:

Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Summary:

Plans, designs, and constructs, or repairs a wide variety of highly intricate and complicated tools, dies, gauges, fixtures, to extremely close tolerances.

Education and/or Experience:
