Job summary

Emerge is recruiting qualified Tool and Die Makers for direct hire in Cleveland and Brecksville, OH. You will program and operate CNC machining centers with Haas controls to manufacture aerospace dies, tooling, and components to exacting standards. Openings are on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.

The pay range is $28 to $35 per hour, with a 20% shift premium on 2nd/3rd shifts, day-one benefits, a 5% annual bonus, and a $250 weekly bonus for overtime above 55 hours. ITAR compliance and U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace or mold building.
• 5+ years of Tool and Die Making including programming, setup, and operation of CNC centers and precision grinding.
• Experience with precision grinding and manual milling.
• Ability to hold tight tolerances and surface finishes.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Use of micrometers, calipers, and precision measuring equipment.

Emerge is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a direct hire Tool and Die Maker job in Cleveland and Brecksville, OH for our client, a global aerospace manufacturer. This role manufactures, modifies, repairs, and maintains aerospace casting dies, tooling, and components to exacting quality standards. You will program and operate CNC machining centers, along with precision grinders and manual mills, to produce mission-critical parts.
Openings are available on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift.

• The pay range is $28to $35 per hour, with the chance to earn up to an additional $10 per hour in year one.
• 20% shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shift.

Responsibilities for theTool and Die Makers job in Cleveland and Brecksville, OH include:

• Manufacture, modify, repair, and maintain precision aerospace casting dies, tooling, and components
• Program and operate CNC machining centers with Haas controls for milling, profiling, contouring, drilling, and 3D machining
• Create and modify Mastercam programs and toolpaths for complex 3D geometry and contoured surfaces
• Set up machines by selecting tools and workholding and setting offsets, work coordinates, feeds, speeds, and cutting parameters
• Machine components to tolerances as tight as ±0.0005 inch while meeting required surface finishes
• Operate Okamoto precision grinders for grinding and finishing
• Use Bridgeport manual mills for tooling modification, fitting, repair, and precision machining
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Inspect parts in process and at completion using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring equipment, and adjust machining based on the results
• Troubleshoot tool wear, chatter, dimensional variation, and surface finish issues to minimize downtime
• Fit, assemble, modify, and repair tools and dies while working with engineers and other skilled tradespeople

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace or mold building is required
• Must have 5 or more years of experience in Tool and Die Making including hands-on experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC machining centers and manual maching (Bridgeport Mills), and precsion grinding
• Experience with precision grinding and manual milling
• Ability to hold tight tolerances and required surface finishes
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
• Skilled use of micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring equipment
• Knowledge of machining tool steels and alloy steels
• Strong troubleshooting skills for tooling, cutting conditions, and part quality issues
