Job summary

Ascendant Staffing Solutions is seeking a Tool & Die professional to manage and assemble tooling projects, ensuring components meet specifications and deadlines. You will participate in pre-build meetings to plan manufacturing processes and set up and operate tools to produce parts.

The role requires 3–5 years building progressive tooling (metal stamping preferred), a journeyman Tool & Die card, and the ability to read technical drawings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a state-indentured Tool & Die apprenticeship or 6 years as a non-indentured Tool & Die Maker.
• 3–5 years building progressive tooling (metal stamping preferred).
• Journeyman Card in Tool & Die required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Pre-Build meetings to plan efficient manufacturing processes.
• Assemble tooling and verify machined components meet specifications.
• Machine components using standard processes to required tolerances.
• Manage assigned tooling projects to meet customer quality and delivery expectations.

Education & Experience:

• Skills: Advanced math, basic computer skills, ability to read technical drawings, strong communication
• Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent, plus completion of a state-indentured Tool & Die apprenticeship OR 6 years as a non-indentured Tool & Die Maker
• Experience: 3–5 years building progressive tooling (metal stamping preferred)
• Certification: Journeyman Card in Tool & Die
