Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a Tool & Die Maker in Wisconsin to assemble tooling and verify machined components meet specifications. You will set up and operate tools to manufacture components and train apprentices, ensuring projects meet quality and delivery standards.

Ideal candidates have a state-indentured Tool & Die apprenticeship or 6 years non-indentured experience, plus 3–5 years in progressive tooling experience. Proficiency in reading drawings and strong math skills are required.

Qualifications

• Must have strong math skills and ability to read technical drawings.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and good communication are required.
• Education includes high school diploma plus a state-indentured Tool & Die apprenticeship, or 6 years as a non-indentured Tool & Die Maker.

Responsibilities

• Assemble tooling and verify machined components meet specifications.
• Machine components using standard processes to tolerances.
• Set up and operate tools to manufacture components.

Job description

Basic Function:

Responsible for managing and assembling tooling projects, ensuring components meet specifications and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in Pre-Build meetings to plan efficient manufacturing processes
• Assemble tooling and verify machined components meet specifications
• Machine components using standard processes to required tolerances
• Manage assigned tooling projects to meet customer quality and delivery expectations

Principle Duties:

• Assemble components into completed tooling
• Set up and operate tools to manufacture components
• Train and mentor apprentices

Education & Experience:

• Skills: Advanced math, basic computer skills, ability to read technical drawings, strong communication
• Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent, plus completion of a state-indentured Tool & Die apprenticeship
• OR
• 6 years as a non-indentured Tool & Die Maker
• Experience: 3-5 years building progressive tooling (metal stamping preferred)
• Certification: Journeyman Card in Tool & Die
