Position Overview

As Tommy’s Folly Café Manager, your principal responsibilities include maintaining inventory of all café retail products, scheduling, managing, and coaching clerks. You will execute directives from the General Manager and Food and Beverage Director to create goals that ensure yearly growth and future success. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a working manager to oversee an established coffee shop, a new Ice Cream Shop, and a Smoothie Bar.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure proper inventory levels for all products and request items when levels fall below par, maintaining shop inventory within the POS system.
  • Keep accurate monthly inventory records for all storage areas.
  • Follow branding and store appearance guidelines provided by the buyer.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen on food sales, product consistency, and food pars.
  • Participate in weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings as required.
  • Contribute to annual goal setting aligned with the Business Plan, Budget, and Profit & Loss statements.
  • Hire, train, manage, and coach clerks to ensure excellent guest interactions and product knowledge. Educate staff on weekly activities related to Cape Resorts properties.
  • Model impeccable service and communication standards.
  • Accurately record payroll and nightly sales in Aloha.
  • Fulfill barista or ice cream duties as scheduled.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Good computational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of POS and PMS systems.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects daily.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a coffee shop.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per company standards.
