RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking an Engineering Business Analyst (Grade P3) to drive cost control and program financial commitments. The role requires active Secret clearance, US citizenship, and 5+ years of relevant experience with SAP/APEX and Excel.

You will develop Estimates at Complete and Latest Revised Estimates, analyze EV and variances, and collaborate with engineers and program leads to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience or 3 years with an advanced degree.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience with SAP, APEX or similar system.
• FAR/DFARS or related government procurement knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

Engineering Business Analyst (Grade P3)

Location: Tucson, AZ, United States

Security Clearance Requirement: Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required.

What You Will Do

• Support the creation of Estimates at Complete (EACs) on a quarterly basis and Latest Revised Estimates (LRE) on a monthly basis, including cost estimation, test of reasonableness analysis, and risk & opportunity assessment at the program/product/mission area level.
• Provide detailed Earned Value (EV) and financial analysis to the budget baseline, schedule, and EAC positions.
• Prepare forecasts, monitor actual costs, and document variances to plans and forecasts.
• Collaborate with engineering and program leads for EVMS process inputs, EAC/LRE development, monthly variance reporting, and weekly cost and labor run analysis.
• Use APEX/SAP EV, IMS, and PMX management reporting tools to drive cost control and schedule.
• Communicate findings effectively to drive predictable results and support program financial commitments.

Qualifications and Experience

• A university degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Experience using SAP, APEX, or a similar system.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance (prior to start date).
• U.S. citizenship.
• Preferred: Experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), or other government procurement regulations related to bid/cost proposals.
• Knowledge of leading and managing processes, projects, and tactics within a single work area.
• Understanding of how work impacts other areas of the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with coworkers.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $86,800 to $165,200 USD, adjusted for experience, education, and location.
