Job summary

Mbi Llc is seeking a SQL Server Database Administrator to manage and optimize large SQL Server environments on Windows. You will monitor uptime, troubleshoot connectivity and security issues, and tune long-running queries in a team of engineers and operations professionals.

The role requires hands-on experience with SQL Server 2019+, Azure cloud services, and related data modeling principles. Fingerprint background checks and ongoing education are part of the position.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience w/ Microsoft SQL Server database.
• At least 1 year of Azure, Snowflake, or Databricks experience (a certification is acceptable in lieu of experience).
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or other applicable and/or equivalent skills, knowledge and/or work history
• Demonstrated experience in communicating effectively using standard requirements and design artifacts
• Knowledgeable of SQL Server 2019+ and cloud databases (Azure, Snowflake, Databricks)

Responsibilities

• Monitor databases to maintain uptime and availability.

- Expertise working with SQL clustering, mirroring and high availability

- Experience working with large SQL databases

- Expertise in writing Transact SQL

- Expertise in installing, upgrading, patching and migrating SQL Server databases

- Experience working on a Windows platform

- Exposure to SSIS, SSAS, & SSRS

- Experience working with Azure Cloud

The selected candidate will:

- Monitor databases to maintain/ensure database uptime and availability.
