Lake Area Discovery Center in White Bear Lake, MN is hiring Assistant Teachers for Toddler and Young Three's classrooms at the White Bear Lake Redeemer Lutheran Church. We offer full-time and part-time roles with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

As an Assistant Teacher, you will work alongside Lead Teachers to support daily activities, supervise children, prepare learning materials, assist with routines, and communicate positively with families while helping maintain a clean, organized

Qualifications

• Experience with young children in childcare, preschool, nannying, or related settings.
• Early Childhood coursework or CDA preferred.
• Willingness to meet Minnesota DHS Assistant Teacher qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing engaging daily learning activities.
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
• Build caring relationships with children and families.
• Supervise children while maintaining a safe, nurturing environment.
• Assist with meals, outdoor play, transitions, toileting, and routines.
• Prepare classroom materials and learning centers.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and licensing standards.
• Collaborate with Lead Teachers and the teaching team.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development.
