Bright Horizons Teacher in Chicago, IL is sought to create hands-on activities for toddlers, maintain open communication with families, and ensure a safe, clean classroom following Bright Horizons policies.

The role offers in-person work with growth opportunities, background checks, and state-specific teacher qualifications; compensation is hourly and varies by experience and location.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required
• College coursework in early childhood education, CDA, or an associate or bachelor's degree in early education or related field is preferred
• 1 year of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) is required
• Must meet state requirements to be Teacher Qualified in IL: 60 sem hrs or 90 quarter hrs with related coursework OR 1 year of child development experience and 30 sem hours OR CDA

Responsibilities

• Create hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children
• Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child's daily milestones
