Job summary

UNIVERSITY DISTRICT CHILDREN'S Center in Washington, DC, is seeking a Toddler Teacher who inspires young minds through a joyful, play-based approach and a nurturing, inclusive classroom.

You will plan engaging environments, document children's learning, and collaborate with families while meeting DCYF requirements.

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30 AM–5:00 PM. Credentials include cleared DCYF background check, CPR/First Aid, Food Handler's Card, and TB test.

Qualifications

• Classroom experience with children 24-36 months.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Cleared DCYF background check.
• Bloodborne pathogen training and TB test.

• Plan environments and experiences to provoke children's thinking.
• Maintain an attractive and engaging classroom.

Position Details

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Requirements

• Cleared DCYF background check before start date

• Proof of negative TB test

Preferences

• Two years of experience teaching in a toddler classroom.
• Early childhood education degree (BA or AA preferred).
• 30 hours of STARS training completed.
• Fluent Bilingual written and verbal skills are a plus.
