Primrose School of West McDonough is seeking a Toddler Teacher to nurture toddlers, implement age-appropriate lessons, and partner with families. You’ll join a supportive team with on-site leadership, training, and opportunities for advancement.

No nights or weekends required; hours vary across shifts, with competitive pay and a digital learning platform. Applicants should be at least 18, pass a background check, complete DECAL health and safety training, and obtain CPR/First Aid within 45 days.

Formación

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Background check with fingerprinting.
• Completion of Georgia DECAL health and safety training.
• Completion of state-required pre-service orientation.
• CPR and First Aid certification within 45 days of employment.
• Ongoing annual training hours as required by the state.
• Documentation of good health to care for children.
• Preferred: CDA, Associate/Bachelor in ECE, or related credentials.
• Experience with toddlers or young children is strongly preferred; training provided for career switchers.

• Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment for toddler-aged children
• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans that are created for you
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe learning space
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a supportive community
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
• Support children's individual learning needs and encourage their social and emotional growth

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must pass a satisfactory comprehensive background check (including fingerprinting) before working with children
• Must complete Georgia's 10-hour DECAL-required health and safety training (completed during onboarding if hired — no action needed to apply)
• Must complete the state-required pre-service orientation before working alone with children
• Must obtain current pediatric CPR and First Aid certification within the first 45 days of employment (we help schedule this during your two weeks of onboarding)
• Must complete ongoing annual training hours as required by the state
• Must provide documentation of good physical and mental health to safely care for children
• One of the following is preferred: a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, a Technical College Certificate in ECE, or equivalent education and experience
• Experience working with young children is strongly preferred, ideally with toddlers
• If Seeking Career Switchers: no prior experience required — training will be provided

Salary Range

Salary Range: $14.00–$18.00 per hour

Shift Schedule

Shift Schedule: Various shifts between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.; exact shift assigned once hired.
