Job summary

Bright Minds Bright Beginnings LLC in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a passionate Toddler Teacher to support early development through play-based learning. You will create a safe, nurturing classroom, monitor milestones, and communicate with families daily to foster growth and trust.

Ideal candidates have CDA preferred, experience with toddlers, and ability to obtain PA childcare clearances. CPR/First Aid certification is welcome as part of a warm, energetic team dedicated to young learners.

Qualifications

• Experience working with toddlers (ages 1–2) in licensed childcare or preschool settings.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and early childhood learning standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate, play-based curriculum for toddler-aged children.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that supports early childhood development.
• Monitor and document children's developmental milestones and progress.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding daily activities and child development.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom in compliance with licensing and health standards.
• Support social-emotional learning and positive behavior guidance techniques.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive learning community.

• Plan and implement age-appropriate, play-based curriculum for toddler-aged children

Requirements:

• CDA preferred
• Previous experience working with toddlers (ages 1–2) in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and early childhood learning standards
• Current or ability to obtain required PA childcare clearances (FBI, State Police, Child Abuse History)
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Warm, patient, and energetic demeanor with a genuine love for working with young children
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
