Job summary

The Goddard School in Anderson Township is hiring a Toddler Teacher to support children 18-36 months in a warm, family-like environment. You’ll help guide learning and development with caring supervision and a consistent routine.

You’ll follow the Wonder of Learning curriculum, maintain a safe, loving classroom with a strong team, and have opportunities to pursue the CDA credential and grow within one of the nation’s leading preschools.

Qualifications

• Experience is a plus, but passion for teaching children matters most.
• High school diploma required; early childhood experience is a bonus.
• Must be dependable, positive, and able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow Goddard's Wonder of Learning curriculum to create engaging activities.
• Build relationships with students and parents; communicate daily at drop-off/pick-up.
• Supervise children at appropriate ratios in a safe, nurturing environment.
• Work in a clean, modern facility with multiple buildings and outdoor spaces.
• Collaborate with directors and teachers; participate in school events.
• Support with classroom setup and use provided teaching supplies.

A day in the life as a Teacher:

• Leverage Goddard's Wonder of Learning curriculum to create and deliver engaging activities that foster children’s curiosity and learning.
• Build lasting relationships with both students and parents, celebrating every little milestone! Daily communication with parents at drop-off and pick-up.
• Supervise a class of children at ratio while maintaining a safe and nurturing learning environment.
• Work in a clean, modern facility with multiple buildings on our campus, 4 playgrounds, a gym, stage, an outdoor classroom, kitchen, and large faculty office.
• Enjoy a team environment where you’re supported by dedicated directors and fellow teachers.

What we’re looking for:

• A high school diploma (and if you have early childhood experience, that’s a bonus!)
• Someone who’s dependable, positive, and works well in a team and without a lot of supervision.
• A caring individual who’s excited about making an impact on young children’s lives.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children. For Infant Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib.
