Job summary

Rising Starz Child Care Center in Texas is seeking a Full-Time Toddler Teacher to create a safe, calm, and nurturing classroom for children aged 18 to 30 months. You will support daily routines, early language development, social-emotional growth, and growing independence, while building strong relationships with children, families, and coworkers.

This 40-hour week runs Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM–6:00 PM, with a lunch break; experience in licensed centers and DFPS standards is preferred, and

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a toddler classroom or licensed Child Care Center.
  • Meets DFPS requirements for employment in a licensed Child Care Center.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Dependable, patient, nurturing, and professional.
  • Able to work within an established classroom structure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, nurturing care in a safe and responsive classroom.
  • Support meals, diapering/toileting routines, naps, transitions, and daily routines.
  • Use Frog Street Curriculum to support early learning and development.
  • Encourage early language, social-emotional growth, self-help skills, and independence.
  • Engage children through meaningful interactions, play, and age-appropriate learning.
  • Observe and respond to each child's developmental needs, cues, and routines.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
  • Maintain family communication, classroom records, daily logs, and required documentation.
  • Follow DFPS Minimum Standards and support Texas Rising Star expectations.
  • Work collaboratively with leadership and coworkers.
  • Model professionalism, reliability, and flexibility.

Job Summary

As a Full-Time Toddler Teacher at Rising Starz, you will help create a safe, calm, and nurturing classroom for children ages 18 months to 30 months. This role is a strong fit for someone who values consistency, professionalism, responsive caregiving, and strong relationships with children, families, and coworkers.

This position supports toddlers through daily routines, early language development, social-emotional growth, and growing independence. You will help children feel secure, supported, engaged, and encouraged as they learn routines, manage big feelings, and build confidence.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position. The scheduled workday is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with a lunch break.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 or more years of experience in a toddler classroom or licensed Child Care Center
  • Experience with Texas Rising Star quality practices
  • Familiarity with Frog Street Curriculum
  • Familiarity with classroom documentation, developmental milestones, and licensing standards
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking children and families
  • Child Development Associate credential
