Position Summary, Duties and Responsibilities

This position is a unique and rewarding opportunity to shape young minds during one of their most formative developmental stages. As a Toddler Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment where curiosity is encouraged, creativity is celebrated, and each child's individuality is respected. The Part-Time Licensed Childcare Assistant Teacher will work with the Toddler program operations and the preschool's daily operations, working in compliance with state licensing regulations and state health department regulations to create a nurturing and educational environment for young children. This role involves assisting the Lead Teacher with curriculum administration, teaching preschool or toddler care, and engaging with parents and the community.

Education and Experience

Work Environment
  • Work may take place in both indoor and outdoor environments, with exposure to varying weather conditions including sun, heat, cold, snow, and humidity.
  • Noise levels range from moderate to loud, often due to active children, group interactions, or busy transportation settings.
Physical Activities
  • Physical stamina to keep up with active toddlers
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
