Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education is a plus.
  • Previous experience with toddlers or in a daycare setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills and a nurturing, patient approach.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from the lead teacher.
  • Knowledge of child development and early childhood education practices.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

  • Assist the lead teacher in daily classroom activities and lesson implementation.
  • Provide individualized support to children, ensuring safety and development.
  • Encourage social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through hands-on activities.
  • Foster a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Help supervise children during playtime, meals, and transitions.
  • Collaborate with staff to support classroom operations and maintain a clean, organized space.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress and milestones.
  • Assist with record-keeping and documentation of developmental observations.
  • Implement classroom routines and contribute to a structured environment.
